Pleated Linen Shirt

Objective: Construct a versatile client garment accurately from a published pattern.
My role: Pattern interpretation, cutting, assembly and finishing
Material: Striped 100% linen
Outcome: A polished client garment demonstrating careful execution of another designer's published pattern.

My contribution was garment construction, not original pattern design.

I interpreted an independently published TAUKO pattern, selected the linen, cut the repeated pleated sections and constructed the garment for a client.

Development and construction

Careful cutting, assembly and pressing kept the repeated pleats consistent.

I followed the published instructions, assembled and shaped the pleated panels, and pressed each layer to keep the horizontal lines clean across the front and back.

Cutting: Handled the striped linen carefully across repeated pleated components.

Assembly: Followed the specified order so the layered sections joined cleanly.

Pressing: Pressed each stage to control the pleat edges and overall finish.
